1. Any SACNY member requesting the service must be a member in good standing, whose dues are fully paid, and who has been a member for at least three months prior to requesting the assistance.

2. The amount of the free lien must be for a minimum of $2,000.00. Members should call Terry Pickard, Scott Molnar or Zea Wright to discuss liens they wish to file for lesser amounts.

3. Byrne, Costello, & Pickard, P.C., will not automatically renew the lien unless the member requests renewal of the lien in writing.

4. The attached form, properly completed, must be received by Byrne, Costello & Pickard, P.C., at least five (5) working days in advance of filing for the lien to be filed on Onondaga County projects, and at least ten (10) working days in advance of filing for liens to be filed on projects located outside Onondaga County. The form is to be filed initially with the SACNY office, which will review the content for completeness. Call Terry Pickard, Scott Molnar or Zea Wright with any questions about these time limits.

5. Byrne, Costello & Pickard, P.C., will not be listed as attorney for the lienor unless the lienor requests it in writing.

6. Byrne, Costello & Pickard, P.C., cannot file the lien if this would involve it in a conflict of interest. Please reveal the names of all interested parties immediately upon making the request.

7. The member will be billed for disbursements made in connection with the filing of the lien, including County Clerk's fees ($20.00); certified mail; and title company charges where required to ascertain legal description. Please send your check in the amount of $20.00 payable to Byrne, Costello, & Pickard, P.C., as an advance on fees.

8. The lien filing service is free only if the member provides all the information.
